Our Club

Northcote Swimming & Lifesaving Club (NTC) is a community based club that provides coaching and training programs for swimmers of all abilities in the Darebin area. Our focus is to provide a positive environment to develop the skills, strength and fitness of our swimmers and provide the opportunities to participate in competitive swimming. NTC has training programs tailored to meet the development needs of swimmers of varying abilities and welcomes swimmers with a disability who are interested in joining our club.

We have excellent facilities at the Northcote Aquatic and Recreation Centre, which is managed by the YMCA with year round access to an indoor 25m pool and a heated 50m outdoor pool, in addition to state of the art gym facilities.

Northcote Swimming & Lifesaving Club is a registered swim club with Swimming Victoria www.swimmingvictoria.org.au, the governing body for swimming in Victoria. All members of Northcote Swimming & Lifesaving Club, including coaches, officials and swimmers are registered members of Swimming Victoria. Annual memberships run from 1st July to 30th June each financial year.

All swimmers are required to be a member of the Northcote Swimming & Lifesaving Club in order to train with our squads. Our program is structured around the age group and ability of our members. This ensures that every swimmer is exposed to the appropriate training loads and skill acquisition progressions for their age and ability.

Northcote Swimming & Lifesaving Club members train at the Northcote Aquatic and Recreation Centre. All training sessions are conducted by skilled swimming coaches under the guidance of Head Coach Ash Delaney.

Northcote Swimming & Lifesaving Club has entered a Memorandum of Understanding with the Northcote YMCA to manage the training activities of NTC, including fortnightly direct debit of training fees to members, supply and sale of NTC uniform items, employment of coaches and availability of training facilities and equipment.
